American sculptor. Spiers studied at Ontario College of art and the Edinburgh College of art. Although she sculpts animals and portraits, her main subject matter is characters of the Bible. She chooses to portray them at pivotal, dramatic moments, and the sculptures often have strong spiral shapes, which invite the viewer to walk around the piece.
