French illuminator. Active in Paris, he was one of the most productive of all late thirteenth-century illuminators. He appears to have enjoyed a successful career, his name appearing repeatedly in royal account books of King Philip IV ‘The Fair’. Honore's figures have slender, curvilinear bodies, curly hair and beards, and he masterfully evokes, by subtle shading, the shapes of the bodies beneath the drapery that hangs upon them.
