Jewish scribe and artist of the 15th century. The Washington Haggadah and ten other manuscripts bear his name and were created in his native Rhineland and in Northern Italy. His style is generally Italian, with relatively little trace of German motifs. Also known as Feibush Ashkenazi of Bonn, he refers to himself as "the humblest of scribes".
