Israeli sculptor and painter. Kadishman, winner of the Israel prize for sculpture (1995), works mostly with environmental sculpture. In the 60's he created geometric sculptures from materials such as glass and aluminum, while later in his career he sculpted figurative subjects, such as the sacrifice of Isaac. In the 70's he began "painting" nature. The main themes in his work are sheep and goats, women and childbirth, the sacrifice of Isaac and death. Kadishman has exhibited all over the world, and has sculptures standing in Israel, Germany, Japan and the United States.
